Penicillin is one of the single most important discoveries in modern medicine. Saving uncountable lives, the miracle drug could spell the difference between life and death when visiting a doctor becomes an impossible dream.
In a Post-Zapocalyptic world finding antibiotics is not going to be an easy task. The last thing you need after surviving hordes of the Undead, battling looters, and living though veritable hell is to succumb to an infected cut or sickness. It’s important to know how to make your own anti-biotic in cases of dire emerge. Print the link out below and make sure you keep it in your Zsurvial pack, just in case. Use it only in an emergency situation as the results can be dangerous, even if done properly.

Gibbs Humdindinga

The thing about cars and SUV’s, you’re pretty limited to roads and trails. No matter how rugged your SUV is there’s no guarantee that it will get you to where you need to go unscathed. When your back’s against the wall water and you’ve run out of road, it’s best you have an option other than to ditch you vehicle.
The Gibbs Humdinga can operate both a land and on water, making roads almost obsolete in some areas. Don’t mistake this for some gimmick though, the full time All-Wheel Drive, 350hp, 5.7 liter V-8 engine is no joke. Capable of propelling you to 100 mph on land and 40 mpg on water, this Bad Boy is a good choice for Zsurvivalists looking for a rugged, versatile vehicle that can get some distance between you and the Z’s without relying on asphalt. There’s no pricing info as of now, but I’m pretty sure it’ll cost a pretty penny.

Nike Storm-FIT M-65 Jacket

Nike Storm-FIT M-65 Jacket

Autumn is right around the corner, which means for most of us the beginning rain, wind, and the cold season. For those of use who live where it gets really cold, it marks the time of year where Zsurvivalist can breath a sigh of relief as it’s just a few more months before the Undead will immediately become Zombie-cicles when exposed to the elements.
It’s also a good time to start looking for outerwear that offers good weather protection, decent mobility, and can take the rigors of living in an Undead world. The Nike Storm-FIT M-65 Jacket is good choice for those in need of a versatile jacket for the upcoming months. It features Storm-FIT fabric that repels wind, rain and snow without being too bulky. It also has a packable hood at the collar to keep rain and wind off you head and out of your face. It may not be the warmest jacket for sub-zero temps, but layering is always an option, and a good idea anyway.

DuraMax Flo n’ Go

DuraMax Flo n’ Go

The steps people usually follow when trying to siphon gas go like this: stick hose into tank, suck on hose until gas starts to flow, swallow some gas, induce vomiting, go blind. None of these steps are particularly helpful when Z’s are lurking at every corner, especially the blindness part.
When you’re on the move and your gas runs low you’re probably going to need something to help you fill up and chances are your nearest Shell Station is not going to be too helpful. The DuraMax Flo n’ Go acts as a fuel container that can both fill and syphon your tank. It features a 14 gallon fuel container with the patented Flo n’ Go Siphon Pump, to make sure you get every last drop of gas without the need for running back and forth. We’d suggest filling it up as a backup tank before you hit the road, and checking abandoned cars along the way where it’s safe.

Desensitize Your Kids Early With Sugary Breakfast Foods

We thinks it’s best to ZPrepare your kids as early as possible, without scarring them for life. It looks like the people at Kellog’s have the same idea with this surreal commercial that brings awareness to the situation, without giving them nightmares. It almost makes me want to stock up on Pop’s before the Apocalypse, but I don’t think they’d be really that useful.

Tactical Bacon

There are so many things that are right with Tactical Bacon I don’t even know where to start. It’s Bacon, comes in a can, requires no preparation, has a ten year shelf life, and it’s Bacon in a frickin’ can! Even the folks at Think Geek who are selling this product know its Zombie Apocalypse potential. Each can comes with 54 strips of delicious bacon so there’s plenty to go around, or you can just choose to be a selfish jerk and keep it all to yourself.

There’s no telling how long it’s going to be available so pick up a few cans NOW!

Springfield Arms XD(M) 9mm

Springfield Arms XD(M) 9mm

I know the Glock 21 is reliable in pretty much any situation, but the .45ACP isn’t everyone’s best caliber to use when you’re going for Zombie kill of the week. Some just feel more comfortable with the 9mm in a life or death situation. Sure the big daddy .45 will put larger holes in decaying skulls, making sure there’s less gray matter left in the brain pan, but you’ve got to hit your target first.

Springfield Arms is brings a serious competitor for anyone serious about making sure your rounds find the mark. Their XD(M) pistol in 9mm does a great job of putting the holes right where you want them. I had the pleasure of firing one of these and even I was able to put an entire magazine into the face of my life-like simulated target at ~20 feet.

Original ‘True Ways’ 5 Day Survival Course

If you live in the U.K. or are willing to travel there, I’d suggests spending some time on one of the ‘True Ways’ Survival Courses. There are plenty of other worthy training programs, probably closer to you than this one, but any course with SAS member and survival author Lofty Wiseman as member of the instructional team is worth checking out.
This 5 day course will definitely run you through the ringer. You may go in a rookie, but you’ll come out with survival skills perfectly suited for the Zombie Outbreak: Shelter Building, Fire Staring, Site Selection, Food Gathering, Fishing, Navigation, Finding Plants for Medicine, just to name a few. Sure, you could spend your time visiting the Big Ben and checking out the Crown Jewels, but those won’t help you on Z-Day.

Also available are 2 and 3 day courses if it suits you better.

Hostess Twinkies

If I’ve learned anything from watching Family Guy, it’s that the Twinkie is the ultimate survival food. Even though their shelf life is greatly exaggerated, 25 days rather than years as some people claim, that doesn’t mean they’re not useful. Any food that is compact, high in sugar, and doesn’t taste like cardboard could be a lifesaver when trips to the grocery store are out of the question. After a few days of eating ration bars and backpacking food, you’ll understand. I like to keep a box in my pantry, just in case. Just don’t expect to open a year old box and dive in without getting sick afterwards.

Two of our favorite pastimes at Zprepared.com include watching Zombie Movies Outbreak Survival Simulation Videos and drinking. Columnist, and possible Zombie Survivalist, Tom Horgen for the Minneapolis Star Tribune has unearthed a story about a bar themed around one of the most entertaining Zombie Outbreak Survival Simulation Videos in recent history. Located in Minneapolis, this Shaun of the Dead inspired saloon is the perfect watering hole for Zsurvivalists to gather and throw back a few cold ones after a long day of Undead skull splitting.
