Cracked.com has provided yet another informative article outlining the different personality types you may encounter in a Post-Apocalyptic, Zombie filled world. This insightful expose uncovers both the benefits and pitfalls of meeting, or being one of these 6 unavoidable character types.
It’s probably a good idea to take note of the best of each one and the worst of each one, to create your ultimate survivor profile.

If you’re anything like us at Zprepared, facing a regular day without a decent cup of coffee is unbearable. Add scavenging for supplies and battling Hordes of the Undead to you daily to do list, and life without your first cup ‘o joe really will be Hell. Most instant brands taste like crap and there’s a good chance the Starbucks at the corner is not going to be re-opening anytime soon.
That’s why we suggest you pick up several packs of Starbucks VIA Ready Brew before the Zhit hits the fan. Unlike regular instant coffee, these things actually taste like the real deal. They also come in ready to use, single serving packs so they’re perfect for when you’re on the go; just add hot water.
A quick piece of advice: Learn to enjoy your coffee Black now, as cream and sugar will probably become pretty scarce and it’s not worth lugging around the extras.

“The right tool, for the right job”. We’ve all heard that old chestnut before. Unfortunately when you’re on the go running packs of roaming Undead, it’s probably not a good idea to lug around your tool box. That’s why it’s a good idea to have one Multi-Tool that can tackle just about any task you throw at it.
The SwissChamp XAVT is the Swiss Army Knife of Swiss Army Knives. Packed with 80 essential functions, this bad boy has almost everything you need to get by after ZDay. Blades, Corkscrew, Can Openers, Screwdrivers, Scissors, Pliers, Magnifying Glass, Sewing Eye, Wrench; just to name a few. It even features an Altimeter, Barometer, Thermometer, and Clock for good measure. Keep this with you at all times and leave your tool belt behind; it just gives the Zs more to grab onto anyway.

At Zprepared we love our canned foods. Unfortunately, eating String Beans an Chicken Noodle Soup meal after meal gets old pretty fast. After a few months of the same old same old, nothing sounds better than biting into a big juicy Cheeseburger, but chances are you’re not going to be able to pull into your local drive-thru to get you fix.
That’s why we suggest picking up a few cases of Cheeseburger in a Can from Trek’n Eat. Just throw this sucker into some hot water for a few minutes, pop that can, and enjoy. It has a shelf life of about 12 months and there’s no need to refrigerate. Now all we need is some Fries in a pouch, and Milkshake in a bottle and we’re good to go.

If you’re in or around Chicago on Saturday, October 31st, and over 21, I’d suggest you stop by Betty’s Blue Lounge on 1600 W. Grand Ave. and check out the Sex, Ghouls & Rock n’ Roll costume event. It’s going to feature live bands, DJ’s, and Zprepared.com is sponsoring a Sexy Costume contest where 1st place wins their very own Stripper Pole. It goes from 9pm to 5am and it’s 10 bucks at the door. It’s a real bargain when you consider you get a FREE hour thrown in because of daylight savings time.

They have attacked Roman armies. The French Foreign Legion. Even prehistoric man. The undead have been a threat to humankind for millennia, and the living must always fight to survive.
They’re coming. And they’re hungry.
Max Brooks, the man who wrote the book on Zombie survival, is at it again with some help from illustrator Ibraim Roberson. This time he’s giving us a Zombie history lesson in “gruesomely illustrated graphic novel form”.
A must have for all ZSurvivalist and fans of the genre alike, The Zombie Survival Guide: Recorded Attacks is perfect reading for those who don’t like the idea of history repeating itself.

Sometimes life just doesn’t go according to plan. Some day you may find that even though you’ve taken every precaution in a given situation, you still end up with a wall of the walking dead between you and a safe escape. Well Tromix Lead Delivery Systems can help you turn that wall of zombies into a door of the dead.
The Saiga-12, from Izhmash, is a self-loading smooth bored shotgun built on the legendary AK-47 action. Tromix offers a conversion variant of the Saiga-12 that transforms it into a truly dynamic tactical tool. The Tromix Saiga-12 is a fully automatic 12 gauge shotgun that features improved sighting, grips and overall operation. They can also include a shark brake / door breach muzzle for “close encounters”.
Add a 20-round drum magazine and you might one day ask, “Hey Joe, did you just see that? I could have sworn I saw a flash of fear that that zombie’s eye.” Right after you’ve blasted that eye, and the zed skull holding it, into oblivion.

Alright maybe zombies won’t be intimidated by your mean looking Ka-Bar Becker TacTool, but it’s definitely mean looking enough to give you a boost of confidence when facing down a couple of shufflers and crawlers. This “utility tool” is a great piece of hardware to pack when you’re moving through rough terrain or even urban sprawls.
Great for prying, smashing, hammering, cutting, slicing/dicing, caveman grunting and posturing, and more. Doors, windows, 550 cord and undead skulls are no match for the Becker TacTool. You don’t want to find out the hard way that our utility tool of choice has some serious limitations when you’re on the move in Thriller country.

Staying on the move is essential when you find yourself exposed and in need of finding new shelter, or a better fortification (beyond just a hasty fighting position). When you’re on the go, the ability to carry as much as you can is really going to help your long term ability to see another day. Staying hydrated will also help you stay on the move, but if you’ve got to stop to get your canteen, that just ain’t efficient when flesh eating zombies are on your tail. The Delta 5 Tactical vest by CamelBak carries 3 liters of water, with fully integrated hands-free hydration.
Built for speed in tactical environments, the Delta 5 features MOLLE attachments for CamelBak pouches and zip cuffs. It’s adjustable to fit most sizes with and without body armor underneath, and if things head south, it’s also got a heavy duty low profile drag handle, so your crew can pull you out of the party when the zeds get a little crazy.

Things are going to start ramping up around here, and with the ZGirls photoshoot done and almost ready to release, we had to test the waters with some gallery additions to make the whole process quick and easy to implement. So we gathered a series of Zombie-themed artwork from various ZPrepared contributors. Check out more from the various artists at JaguarWong.DeviantArt.com and AteBitNinja.DeviantArt.com.
But in the meantime, check out the Zombie Art Gallery.
