The Tactical Duostock was developed with CQB (Close Quarters Battle) in mind, and when you find yourself moving through tight confines of a known zombie zone, you’re going to want one of these on the butt end of your carbine of choice. The Complete Assembly comes with everything you need to convert your AR-15/M4 and M-16 family rifles/carbines to a collapsable duostock. Designed for entry work and room clearing to allow fast target acquisition on the move, it increases your accuracy and gives you a stable shooting platform, keeping you safer in the more heavily infested areas.

Mil Spec gear is a great choice for things like bags, clothing and other accessories, but that doesn’t mean it has to look “Mil Spec”. The Chrome Mini Metro messenger bag features a rugged weatherproof Cordura outer shell, with military spec binding to protect your gear from the weather, or splattered zombie bits from melee combat. Not to mention, the main over-the-chest load stabilizing strap is made from five bar seat belt webbing with a quick release car seat belt buckle (that doubles as a bottle opener), so it’s tough enough to hang on to all your equipment. But in a pinch (or a grab) of some zeds get a hold of your bag, the quick release buckle lets you get clear and fight from a safer position and not be dragged into the hungry pack of flesh eaters. Stylish, compact and tough, the Chrome Mini Metro looks great and gets the job done. Exactly what we’re looking for at ZPrepared.

Although Winter time may offer up a nice reprieve from the Undead (Zombie-cicles anyone) it can make moving around quite difficult. Sub 0 temperatures, where Zombies become frozen statues, are great conditions to re-stock and re-supply essential goodies as long as you’re not stuck in a hellish Winter wonderland yourself. That’s why we suggest getting some Snow friendly footwear before the Blizzard hits.
The MSR Lightning Snowshoe is the Cadillac of Winter footwear. Designed for just about any terrain, these ultra-light snowshoes will get you anywhere you need to go, as long as it’s on foot. If you live in the rugged peaks of the Rockies or the flat plains of the Mid-West, these bad boys offer unparalleled convenience and grip. The Total-Traction frame delivers perfect 360 grip while the user friendly 3-strap step-on binding ensures that you can quickly put them on and take them off in sticky situation. When you’re out trying to stock up on supplies waist deep in snow, don’t say we didn’t warn you.

Now that you’ve got your Bushmaster 6.8 SPC rifle, you need the right piece of flair to really get some “bang for your buck” (no I’m not sorry for that). The Mako T-Pod Foregrip with integral tactical flashlight really makes your new toy much more fun to bring to the zombie playground. either as a foregrip, or a bi-pod you can make sure you’ve always got control of your weapon to make those wicked head shots to impress everyone in your crew when the shamblers are creepin’ too close to the safehouse. Not to mention, the integral tactical flashlight lets you make those shots in low light conditions as well. Out in the mix, you really have to rely on your vision to make the tough shots. If your eyesight is compromised, you may very well walk right into the hungry maw of a lone zombie. As long as you’re protecting your peepers, you might as well use what the boys and girls of the military use. The ESS High Adrenaline Eye Pro CDI Max sunglasses provide some hard core eye cover. These MilSpec glasses feature an extra-wide field of view and easily swappable 2.4mm thick polycarbonate lenses, capable of withstanding a shotgun blast at 35 feet. Not to mention, they’re nightvision compatible, so you can wear your sunglasses while hunting zombies at night, Corey Hart.

Staying on the move is essential when you find yourself exposed and in need of finding new shelter, or a better fortification (beyond just a hasty fighting position). When you’re on the go, the ability to carry as much as you can is really going to help your long term ability to see another day. Staying hydrated will also help you stay on the move, but if you’ve got to stop to get your canteen, that just ain’t efficient when flesh eating zombies are on your tail. The Delta 5 Tactical vest by CamelBak carries 3 liters of water, with fully integrated hands-free hydration.
Built for speed in tactical environments, the Delta 5 features MOLLE attachments for CamelBak pouches and zip cuffs. It’s adjustable to fit most sizes with and without body armor underneath, and if things head south, it’s also got a heavy duty low profile drag handle, so your crew can pull you out of the party when the zeds get a little crazy.

If Zombies looked like silhouette cutouts with a bunch of concentric circles, I’m sure we’d all have no problem with head shots with enough practice. Unfortunately, they tend to look human with a bit of nastiness thrown in for good measure. That’s why when we go practice shooting, rather then regular old targets, we use the Zombie Targets from Law Enforcement Targets, Inc.. These realistic targets help train you’re eyes in getting used to the sight of the Undead and always aiming for the head. They even have a separate target for the brain showing how it’s positioned based on the Zombies pose. Cheap and available in several designs options, these targets make the ultimate companion for you pre-Zday shooting practice. I like to practice with the Hans target myself, as it feels pretty good letting loose on a Zombie Axis officer.
