That’s why you’ve always got to be prepared for some serious terrain, but you gotta make sure your vehicle can manage with whatever fuel you’re pumping into it. The Arctic Cat 700 Super Duty Diesel has a beefy 686cc engine that runs on 6 different fuel types, including bio-diesel. Plus its got plenty of power and is even 50% more fuel efficient than other gas guzzling engines of comparable size. Plenty of get-up-and-go when the zombies rise-up-and-feast.

Maybe you only need to make short runs. Maybe you don’t know how to drive a real car. Maybe you’re the type of person who wants to shave a few strokes off of your handicap, Zombies or no Zombies. Whatever the reason, it’s hard to fault you for wanting the ATAC Armored Golf Cart in your garage when the Zs come calling. Designed for close quarters anti-terrorism use, this thing is perfect for short jaunts to and even into the grocery store to pick up supplies. The designers claim that it can withstand close range gun fire, and even grenade blasts, so I’m pretty sure the biting and scratching from some Zedheads wont have any real effect. It’s still in conceptual phase, and chances are you won’t be able to get one, but you could always build your own. Just remember to carry a shotgun next to the Putter in your bag, who knows what the terrain will be like.

Earth friendly is all fine and good, but if you’ve got a fuel source available and a lot of rough terrain to cover, the John Deere M-Gator A1 is a great, reliable way to get you and your supplies from point A to point B. The Gator is John Deere’s Mil-Spec ATV capable of hauling serious equipment with plenty of room for survivors as well. Not as large and bulky as a full size vehicle, this thing gives you speed and mobility to easily stay on the move. Right now it’s only available for Military, Law Enforcement or First Responders, but hey, if you fit that role, and you want to stay zprepared, then this puppy is for you.

The ATTV from Hackney is the ultimate Zombie Survival Mobile Command Center. Designed for Special Ops, this Bad Boy is just begging to be converted into a Zsurvivalists home away from home or a runabout for Zombie infested areas. Featuring a 350hp diesel engine and an Allison automatic transmission, there isn’t much terrain you can throw at it that it can’t handle. The Tank Treads offer maximum grip while still being able to cross trenches (up to 6.6ft) and climb over obsticles (up to 3.3ft). It also features plenty of cargo space or you can opt for one of several dedicated pods; including a generator power plant, fuel tanks, or just convert it into living quarters. It comes either fully armored or non-armored for a heavier payload and larger glass.

The thing about cars and SUV’s, you’re pretty limited to roads and trails. No matter how rugged your SUV is there’s no guarantee that it will get you to where you need to go unscathed. When your back’s against the ~~wall~~ water and you’ve run out of road, it’s best you have an option other than to ditch you vehicle.
The Gibbs Humdinga can operate both a land and on water, making roads almost obsolete in some areas. Don’t mistake this for some gimmick though, the full time All-Wheel Drive, 350hp, 5.7 liter V-8 engine is no joke. Capable of propelling you to 100 mph on land and 40 mpg on water, this Bad Boy is a good choice for Zsurvivalists looking for a rugged, versatile vehicle that can get some distance between you and the Z’s without relying on asphalt. There’s no pricing info as of now, but I’m pretty sure it’ll cost a pretty penny.

Ever wonder what would happen if you took a Hummer and an RV and locked them in a hotel room together with some Champagne and Marvin Gaye on the stereo? Me neither, but I’m pretty sure the result would be similar to the Amerigo Unimog from Unicat. This Baby has all the trappings you’re going to want if you need to go off grid for a while after Z-Day. Permanent full-time 4-wheel drive, Mercedes-Benz 906 diesel engine, 60 gallon fuel tank, high articulating coil spring suspension; the list goes on and on. It doesn’t stop at just off-road readiness either, mounted on it’s back is a fully useable RV featuring a kitchenette (with a fridge, stove, microwave, & sink), Queen sized bed, washroom with a shower and a toilet and seating for up to 4 people. They even thought ahead enough to make sure all the windows and skylights were Burglar-Proof and Scratch resistant.
Consider this the Mullet of Recreational Vehicles, all business in the front, party in the back.
