Even though blades aren’t as handy against zombie threats (they don’t feel pain, or bleed out), it’s not a bad idea to carry a high quality knife for use in a utility role. The Benchmade 3550 auto opening knife features the Benchmade auto open mechanism making it easier for you to deploy the blade when you need it opened easily.

It’s available with a plain edge, or combo edge if you need to cut through a variety of materials. With non-reflective components, you don’t have to worry about accidentally catching a glint of light and attracting some Zeds in the area while you’re trying to get work done. Just keep in mind, the availability is limited to law enforcement and military personnel, but when the Zs drop, this should be a little easier to get your hands on. Made in the USA.

  • Slim Profile Makes for Ease of Carry
  • Non-Reflective Components for Tactical Applications
  • Symmetrical Handle Design has Universal Grip
  • Spear-Point Blade Offers Enhanced Tip Qualities

WASP Injection Knife

WASP Injection Knife

We have a saying here at Zprepared.com: Never bring a knife to a Zombie fight. If you absolutely have to, the WASP Injection Knife is definitely the blade to bring. Made from surgical stainless steel, this 11 1/4″ knife comes equipped with a handle that holds an up to 24g gas cartridge. With a push of a button, a burst of cold compressed air about the size of a basketball is ejected out of the blade. Originally designed for divers to use against sharks, this nifty weapon has the potential to be a decent back-up, back-up weapon. If your back’s against the wall, and all other options are spent, just drive this sucker into a Zeddy’s head and just push the button. Just make sure your eyes and mouth are closed.
