You’ve got plenty of miles to travel in search of supplies, shelter, survivors and anything else that will allow you to make it one more day in the zombie-infested wastelands. The thought of having to siphon gasoline from broken down cars and trucks just makes it that much tougher. The PiCycle Electric Bike lets you cover ground with its rechargeable electric motor, when you just don’t have the extra calories to put into the pedals. It’s sleek, and cool-looking to boot (especially if you’re also a nerd that’s trying to survive the zomb-pocalypse). Even in a day and age when the living dead is more of a threat than vehicle emissions, you can still boast that your carbon footprint is much lower, so once civilization is rebuilt, it’ll still be a nicer place.

Sporting hot new Parkour-friendly shoes and pants does you no good if they’re only there to make you look pretty. Mobility, speed and an overall high level of fitness will really make all the difference, and put your gear to good use. <a href="http://parkourpedia.com" target=_blank">Parkourpedia is loaded with tons of useful information about this spirit or philosophy that incorporates “a method of moving within your environment and approaching obstacles of any kind, be they physical or mental.” As well as various techniques and conditioning exercises to give you all the tools and attributes you may need to stay one step, leap or vault ahead of the groping zombie masses. I think the icing on the top has to be a great article about how to choose the proper shoes for highly mobile ways.

Fighter pilots are familiar with the phrase “Speed is life”. Never let your speed drop, or you’re risking being out maneuvered or put in a bad situation. Urban zombie survival could learn a lot from this mantra. If you’ve got to get around quickly, you don’t want something as simple as keeping stuff in your hip pockets slowing you down. American Parkour’s APK Combat Trainers allow you to keep all your gear in the sealable upper thigh pockets where they don’t restrict your movement, and stay secure on your person during crazy evasive movement. These are standard military BDU pants, so you know they’re durable, plus keeping your flexibility means your movement is not restricted on the move from high density zombie filled areas.

The Gator is John Deere’s Mil-Spec ATV capable of hauling serious equipment with plenty of room for survivors as well. Not as large and bulky as a full size vehicle, this thing gives you speed and mobility to easily stay on the move. Right now it’s only available for Military, Law Enforcement or First Responders, but hey, if you fit that role, and you want to stay zprepared, then this puppy is for you.

Alright, hear me out with this. The key to surviving heavily infested areas is mobility. If you’re out in the open, scouting a large area there are several options for mobility, but the Air Trekker Jump Stilts gives you some crazy jumping ability, increases your mobility and speed, plus it keeps your hands free for any firearms you’re packing. If you find yourself surrounded by zombies, you can gain some ground, or even in extreme situations, jump over any shamblers that get too close.

Be the bionic zombie hunter, jump up to 10 feet high, run up to 20 miles per hour, catch some big air while dispatching zeds. The new cuff design allows you to put them on very quickly and easily, so you don’t have to walk around all day if you’re tired of impressing the ladies.

Staying on the move is essential when you find yourself exposed and in need of finding new shelter, or a better fortification (beyond just a hasty fighting position). When you’re on the go, the ability to carry as much as you can is really going to help your long term ability to see another day. Staying hydrated will also help you stay on the move, but if you’ve got to stop to get your canteen, that just ain’t efficient when flesh eating zombies are on your tail. The Delta 5 Tactical vest by CamelBak carries 3 liters of water, with fully integrated hands-free hydration.

Built for speed in tactical environments, the Delta 5 features MOLLE attachments for CamelBak pouches and zip cuffs. It’s adjustable to fit most sizes with and without body armor underneath, and if things head south, it’s also got a heavy duty low profile drag handle, so your crew can pull you out of the party when the zeds get a little crazy.

Whenever you’re out for a supply hunt, zombies aren’t the only danger you need to be wary of. Losing your way is always a possibility and not having the right tools to help you get around and survive is a very scary thought. It’s hard to have all the necessary tools on hand, but with the Highland Hiking and Survival Staff you can make sure you’ve got several valuable hiking and survival tools within reach. Developed jointly by Cane Masters (a true authority on self defense canes) and Colorado Search & Rescue, this bad mama jamma is made of 1-inch diameter solid American hickory and weighs in at less than three pounds. The crook designed into the staff helps you reach further for more mobility, on top of giving you a nice hook for grabbing zombie necks and limbs to control the distance in a self defense situation.

It’s got plenty of features to help you get back to base in one bite-free piece as well. 35 feet of paracord, a military designed whistle that can be heard from a mile away, a steel chisel tip (for piercing zombie faces), a fluid suspended compass and a bit of swedish firesteel to top it all off.
