The idea of putting a bayonet on your pistol may seem like a joke, but no one will be laughing when a zombie gets too close for comfort, the moment you fire your last round in the magazine. The Laserlyte Pistol Bayonet is a worthy CQC fallback when the slide locks back in the middle of the action. Sporting a razor sharp Ka-Bar blade that can easily punch its way through an undead eye socket, you can still fend off an attacker long enough to slap a fresh magazine into your favorite rail-equipped pistol. You never have to worry about having to switch between bullets and blades again! The clear answer is obviously bring both.

Bringing a reliable firearm is no doubt a concern of every zApocalypse survivalist, but always ensuring you’ve got the ammunition when you’re out and about makes this difficult to manage sometimes. You want to be able to bring a weapon that has great range and accuracy, but sometimes all you’ve got is pistol ammunition. Beretta must have put some thought into this problem when they introduced the Cx4 Storm. The legendary arms manufacturer has delivered a great weapon system that allows you to bring some serious accuracy at range when all you’ve got is pistol ammunition. If you’ve only got .40 S&W, .45 ACP or 9mm laying around, no problem. The Storm fires’em all. Another big perk, it accepts all types of customization thanks to the Picatinny rails all over this beauty. Pull the sights off of that dry, useless AR-15 and slap it on the Storm, and you’re ready to put some rounds in zombie skulls.

I’m not here to make your decision of which side to take in the great “revolver vs semi-auto” debate, but I do want to make sure you have plenty of options when making up your mind. Enter the Smith & Wesson M&P R8, an 8-shot revolver bought to you by one of the premier revolver manufacturers. Yes I’ll make sure you hear that right, the R8 model 327 fires eight (8) .357 magnum rounds. In the zombie infested world of zTomorrow, you need a reliable rugged, easy-to-use firearm if you’re not an expert in all things boom. Revolvers have fewer moving parts, and rely a lot less on oils and lubricants, meaning if you’ve got poor firearm cleaning habits, the revolver will most likely perform when the zeds bash the barriers down at the worst possible time. The above image shows an optional configuration, normally the optics and light are not included…but c’mon, look at that beast! shell out the extra scratch to make your sidearm feel like it’s your go to weapon of choice.

If you ever find yourself in a situation where the only thing preventing you from succumbing to zombie hordes is a trusty, sturdy pistol that will go BANG, no matter what you’ve put it through, then you’re probably looking for the Glock 21. This bad boy fires a .45 caliber round, giving you serious stopping power against even the most rugged reanimated corpses.

Sometimes you don’t always have time to clean your weapon after surviving an encounter, and find yourself caught right in the middle of a group of zombies at the worst possible moment. Got a little mud on your pistol? A little zombie gore splash onto the slide? dropped your gun into a pool of blood while making a fast getway? The Glock 21 has been torture tested to a ridiculous level and still performed admirably. That’s the kind of rugged reliability you need when you’re out in “the field” looking for fellow survivors and supplies.
