Nothing splits a Zed Head’s skull like a well made Axe. Sure, you can trust your life to a machine built one you picked up at Home Depot, but at ZPrepared we like our weapons to have a bit more flare.
The Best Made Axe Co. hand makes each and every Axe to order. Each one features a hand painted and polished 30″ hickory helve with a 3.5 lb fine grain steel bit. This type of craftsmanship and care doesn’t come cheap, the price ranges from $250 to $500 bucks. Just don’t come complaining to us when the cheapo axe you picked up cracks under the pressure.
There’s two ways to get the name “Doctor” in for the Zombie Apocalypse: The first being an actual doctor with an actual degree, the second is being a Master Surgeon with complete mastery of the Scalpel. When I say Master Surgeon, I mean a dead-shot with any rifle from Surgeon Rifles and when I say Scalpel, I mean their custom Tactical Rifle that bears that name.
Surgeon Rifles carries a wide range of fully customizable, long range rifles for those who’s idea of fun doesn’t include getting up close an personal with the Undead. Just find some high ground, stock up some extra Ammo and pick ‘em off one by one.
The problem with most “off the shelf” and mail order swords is that they’re made to look at, not actually use. They’re usually poorly made, unbalanced, and never meant to be swung much less cut anything. Cold Steel Emperor Swords are made not only to look pretty, but also slice and dice with the best of ‘em. A fully sharpened 1055 carbon steel blade, heat treated to a spring temper, then hand polished to a mirror shine ensures a clean cut every time. The details are immaculate; only traditional materials are used for the fittings. Keep that Katana you bought at the flea-market on the shelf where it belongs and keep one of these at your side.
I could go on and on about this great Zombie killing tool, but there’s not much I can say that this video doesn’t:
Silent but Deadly is a good model to use when trying to dispose of the Walking Dead. The problem becomes that; chances are the quieter your weapon, the closer you have to be. One good alternative is to use old fashioned projectile weapons like Crossbows and Longbows. Unfortunately, Longbows require a lot a skill, and the time it takes to load and cock your Crossbow could spell death.
Thank the people at Swiss Crossbow Makers for the Twinbow II. The innovative cocking system takes about 3 seconds after firing, which in Crossbow terms is lightening fast. It’s easy enough for just about anyone to do too, “whether physically challenged, young or old, women or men“. Don’t think you’re sacrificing any power or precision either: This sucker shoots at up to 370 FpS and is impossible to cock off center. Oh yeah, it’s also doesn’t hurt that it’s Swiss made; if the quality is anything like their Watches and Knives, you know it’s good.
You can check out some cool videos of the 3 second cocking action here and here. They’re totally worth a watch.
Hammers are great tools for both fortifying and destroying. They can be used to strengthen doors and windows, with the help of some 2x4s and nails, and no Undead skull can withstand a sharp blow the the cranium. Unfortunately, most hammers tend to be too short and fragile for our liking, with their 12″ reach and wooden handle.
That’s why we’re always on the lookout for a good Hammer for the Z Apocalypse. The TiBar16 Titanium Utility Bar from Stiletto tools is perfect for all your Undead needs. It has a longer reach than most conventional Hammers, 16″, so you don’t have to worry about the Zed-Heads getting too close. It’s one piece Titanium construction alleviates the worry of having the head fly off when in tense situations. Weighing about 2 lbs., it won’t slow you down when you’re on the go. Aside from it’s milled steel replaceable striking face, it also features a nifty claw and nail puller, which I’m sure you’ll find plenty of uses for.
NOTE: Yelling “You Can’t Touch This!”, as you embed it into a Zombie’s skull might be funny the first few times, but it gets old quick.
